Also ab nach Alberta. Im Visitors Center wurden wir von einer sehr netten und kompetenten jungen Frau beraten und mit Unmengen von Informationsmaterial versorgt. Also, da wir es nicht zu eilig hatten, machten wir zun\u00e4chst einen Stopp in Medicine Hat. Der Name ist doch wirklich besonders. Und so war auch der Ort. Urspr\u00fcnglich gab es hier eine Ziegel- und Steinzeugindustrie, was auf die Lehmvorkommen zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren ist. Eine alte Ziegelei wurde zu einem unterhaltsamen Museum umgebaut. Das Geld stammt wohl aus neuem Wohlstand, den Medicine Hat nennt sich heute die \u201eGas City\u201c. Rings um den Ort sieht man Fracking Anlagen. Uns gruselt es da ein bisschen und so erscheint das Museum auch ein bisschen wie ein Ablasshandel. Nun ja. Die Innenstadt selbst pflegt den alten Charm ihrer Backsteinh\u00e4user. Und Kunst ist immer gut und so sind viele W\u00e4nde bemalt. Uns gef\u00e4llt das ganz gut, auf alle F\u00e4lle besser als die schrecklichen Tag-Schmierereien in Hamburg. Und wieder ein Tipp f\u00fcr Margot und Klaus: Das Inspire Kaffee bietet French Kaffee und leckere Sandwiches und an den W\u00e4nden h\u00e4ngen bemerkenswerte Gem\u00e4lde.
